Nie aan ons nie, HERE, nie aan ons nie, maar aan u Naam gee eer, om U goedertierenheid en om u waarheid ontwil.

Waarom sou die heidene sê: Waar is nou hulle God?

Maar onse God is in die hemele; Hy het gedoen wat Hy behaag het.
4
Hulle afgode is silwer en goud, die werk van mensehande.
5
Hulle het monde, maar hulle praat nie; hulle het oë, maar hulle sien nie.
6
Hulle het ore, maar hulle hoor nie; neuse het hulle, maar hulle ruik nie.
7
Hulle het hande, maar hulle hanteer nie; voete het hulle, maar hulle loop nie; en hulle praat nie deur hul keel nie.
8
Hulle wat dit maak, is soos hulle; so is elkeen wat op hulle vertrou.
9
O Israel, vertrou op die HERE: Hy is hulle hulp en hulle skild.
10
Huis van Aäron, vertrou op die HERE: Hy is hulle hulp en hulle skild.
11
Julle wat die HERE vrees, vertrou op die HERE; Hy is hulle hulp en hulle skild.
12
Die HERE het aan ons gedink; Hy sal ons seën; hy sal die huis van Israel seën; hy sal die huis van Aäron seën.
13
Hy sal die wat die HERE vrees, klein en groot seën.
14
Die HERE sal julle meer en meer vermeerder, julle en julle kinders.
15
Julle is geseën deur die HERE wat hemel en aarde gemaak het.
16
Die hemel, ja, die hemel behoort aan die HERE, maar die aarde het Hy aan die mensekinders gegee.

Die dooies loof die HERE nie, ook nie almal wat in die stilte neerdaal nie.

Maar ons sal die HERE loof van nou af tot in ewigheid. Prys die HERE.
