Prys die HERE, want dit is goed om tot eer van onse God te sing; want dit is aangenaam; en lof is lieflik.
2
Die HERE bou Jerusalem op, Hy versamel die verdryftes van Israel.
3
Hy genees die wat gebroke is van hart en verbind hulle wonde.
4
Hy vertel die getal van die sterre; hy noem hulle almal op hulle name.
5
Groot is onse HERE en van groot krag: sy verstand is oneindig.
6
Die HERE verhef die sagmoediges, Hy werp die goddelose op die grond neer.
7
Sing tot eer van die HERE met danksegging; sing tot eer van onse God op die siter.
8
Wat die hemel met wolke bedek, wat reën vir die aarde berei, wat gras op die berge laat groei.
9
Hy gee aan die dier sy voedsel en aan die jong kraaie wat huil.
10
Hy het geen behae in die krag van die perd nie; hy het geen behae in die bene van 'n man nie.
11
Die HERE het 'n welbehae in die wat Hom vrees, in die wat op sy goedertierenheid hoop.
12
Loof die HERE, o Jerusalem! loof u God, o Sion!
13
Want Hy het die grendels van u poorte versterk; Hy het jou kinders in jou geseën.
14
Hy maak vrede in jou grondgebied en vul jou met die beste van die koring.
15
Hy stuur sy gebod op die aarde; sy woord loop baie vinnig.
16
Hy gee sneeu soos wol, hy strooi ryp soos as.
17
Hy gooi sy ys soos stukkies uit; wie kan voor sy koue standhou?
18
Hy stuur sy woord en smelt hulle; Hy laat sy wind waai en die waters vloei.
19
Hy maak sy woord aan Jakob bekend, sy insettinge en sy verordeninge aan Israel.
20
So het Hy met geen nasie gedoen nie, en wat sy oordele betref, hulle het dit nie geken nie. Prys die HERE.
